China's spun yarn production registered 2.41 million tons in May 2011, an increase of 191,000 tons or 8.6 percent year on year.
It was also up by 105,000 tons or 4.6 percent compared with the previous month, according to the latest statistical data from the State Bureau of Statistics.
From January to May 2011, China's spun yarn output reached 10.80 million tons, an increase of 10.13 percent year on year.
