Spot market of PTA imports was subdued. Offers for Taiwan cargo from holders were at US $1,160 / ton, downstream inquiries were about US $1150-1115/ ton. Offers for goods produced in South Korea were quoted at US $1,150 / ton, downstream inquiries were around US $1135-1140/ ton; actual negotiation was around US $1140-1145/ ton.
PTA market conditions in North China looked plain on July 4, market supply was limited, cargo holders made sporadic offers around 9,100 Yuan / ton, downstream inquiries from factories were around 9,000 Yuan / ton, actually negotiated price was about 9,050 Yuan / ton, trading atmosphere was dull, actual discussion was light.
Market conditions of PTA in East China weakened, cargo holders offered around 9,000-9,050 Yuan / ton, downstream inquires were around 9,850 Yuan / ton, actually negotiated price was about 9,000 Yuan / ton. Holders were slightly reluctant to sell goods at low price, trading atmosphere subdued, actual negotiation appeared scarce.
