CNCEC to build CPL project in Fuzhou

China National Chemical Engineering Co. Ltd. (CNCEC) has inked a deal with the city of Fuzhou for the construction of a caprolactam (CPL) project. Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian province in China.

The new CPL project with a capacity of 200 KT per annum will be built in Fuqing Jiangyin Industrial Zone. As per the agreement, CNCEC will initially invest 4 billion RMB in the CPL project, followed by investments in other projects to be initiated during the next five years.

CNCEC is a share holding company sponsored principally by China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation in combination with Shen Hua Group Corporation Limited and Sinochem Corporation.

It was set up in 1953 by the Ministry of Heavy Industry under the name of Heavy Industry Design Institute and Construction Company. Today, CNCEC is a technology intensive global engineering company that integrates prospecting, design and construction.

CNCEC is directly administered by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of China.
