Nakoda Limited Q2 PAT up by 56%

Nakoda Limited, one of the largest manufacturers of the fully drawn yarn, reported a robust growth in revenue and profits for the quarter ended, June 30, 2011.

The company saw an increase in revenue by a whopping 68% from Rs. 309.18 Cr to Rs. 519.88 Cr during the same period for the last fiscal. The profit after tax for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 stood at Rs. 12.07 Cr, resulting into an increase of 56%, as against Rs. 7.76 Cr in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.

The revenue for the half year ended on 30th June, 2011 also rose by 61% from Rs. 602.12 Cr to Rs. 970.75 Cr during the corresponding period of the previous year. Net Profits during the half year increased significantly by 50% from Rs. 15.16 Cr during the corresponding period in the last fiscal to Rs. 22.71 Cr.

Cash profits rose by 89% from 9.65 Cr to Rs. 18.26 Cr during the quarter. Cash profits for the half year ended on 30th June, 2011 also rose by 86% from Rs. 18.82 Cr to Rs. 35.02 Cr during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Income from the Manufacturing Segment rose by 133.72% to Rs. 312.29 Cr from Rs. 133.62 Cr for the quarter under consideration. In the trading segment, the sales touched Rs. 207.58 Cr from Rs. 175.56 Cr, an increase of 18.24%.
