UBE to add new CPL capacity in Nov/Dec 2011

Ube Chemicals Asia will add new caprolactam (CPL) capacity totaling to 20,000 tons per annum and also will shut down its existing plant for maintenance in the month of November/December 2011.
A company official told fibre2fashion that, UBE will add new 20,000 tons per annum CPL capacity to its plant based in Rayong - Thailand which will take its production to 130,000 tons per annum.
He also added that the new capacity will be operational somewhere in November/December 2011. A scheduled maintenance shutdown will also take place at the existing 110,000 CPL plant in the same period.
