PX, ethylene, PSF & polyester yarn trends continue to rise

Paraxylene (PX) price inclined up marginally in Asian markets to around US$ 1705/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1695/ton to US$ 1705/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1690/ton to US$ 1700/ton. In Chinese market, price went up near US$ 1695/ton.

In S E Asia, PTA price was stable. In Chinese market, offer price hovered in between RMB 10100/ton to RMB 10225/ton. In Asian market, PTA price remained range bound in between US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1310/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1305/ton.

Ethylene price moved northward to US$ 1130/ton in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1125/ton to US$ 1130/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 990/ton to € 1000/ton and in imported goods, it was in between US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1385/ton. In U.S.A market selling offers for ethylene was in the range of 63.30 cents/pound to 63.60 cents/pound.

MEG price went down to around US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG stabilised to around US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1285/ton and in domestic Chinese market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9900/ton.

BGPET Chips price went up in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1740/ton to US$ 1750/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1745/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 13100/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained firm at US$ 1630/ton to US$ 1645/ton and in Indian market; it was assessed in the range of US$ 1635/ton to US$ 1640/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12500/ton to RMB 12650/ton.

PSF price shot up in N E Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 1970/ton to US$ 1980/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1975/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were in the range of RMB 13300/ton to RMB 13450/ton.

Polyester yarn prices in Chinese domestic market went up. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 14500/ton and RMB 14600/ton. Selling offers for DTY were stable around RMB 16150/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1985/ton, 1980/ton and US$ 2200/ton, respectively.
