Meeting point of the textile sector: VDMA booth H5-5UL5 (under Linkway)
Roundabout 230 companies from Germany and Austria have registered for ITMA 2011 via VDMA. All renowned German manufacturers will be present at the leading trade fair in Barcelona. The central meeting point for visitors, who want to get an overview of German technology at the ITMA, will be the VDMA info booth located centrally under the Linkway between halls 5 and 4 (CEMATEX pavilion). Visitors will get there the VDMA ITMA guide in which all exhibiting member companies are listed according to halls, the position paper of energy efficiency and the new buyer's guide of the Textile Machinery Association.
High-tech live for more than 400 students
The Olympics of the textile machinery industry in Barcelona are also an event for young talents. The Walter Reiners Foundation of the VDMA Textile Machinery Association funds the student excursion to ITMA with an overall sum of 100,000 Euros. “More than 400 young engineers of different universities will have the opportunity to see machinery and production lines live in action, which enable sustainable textile production all over the world. Seen, that engineers are missing and in view of the demographic changes, the VDMA engagement for young engineers is an investment in the future”, says Mayer.
German Innovation Day for Indian textile entrepreneurs
Another highlight of the VDMA offer at ITMA will be the Innovation Tour for Indian Textile Entrepreneurs. The “German Innovation Day”, which VDMA will organize with the support of CITI (Confederation of Indian Textile Industry), will offer the chance to entrepreneurs of the Indian textile industry to get to know the latest technical innovations of leading German textile machinery manufacturers along the textile chain.
