Spot market of PTA imports increased on Wednesday. The market price for Taiwan cargo was quoted at US$ 1360-1370/ton, inquiries from downstream buyers was around US$ 1355/ton, and the actually negotiate price was around US$ 1360/ton.
For South Korean cargo, offers were made for US$ 1350/ton, downstream buyers inquired for US$ 1335/ton, and the price was actually negotiated at US$ 1340/ton.
In North China, the PTA market looked dull with cargo holders making offers for around 10,650 Yuan/ton, buyers inquiring for around 10,550 Yuan/ton and finally negotiating at 10,550-10,600 Yuan/ton. Overall, there was limited number of actual negotiations.
In East China, there was a slight increase in the market price of PTA. Cargo holders raised their offer price to 10,600 Yuan/ton, downstream buyers inquired for around 10,500-10,550 Yuan/ton and the actually negotiated price was around 10,550-10,600 Yuan/ton.
