ZIMMER AUSTRIA, the leading manufacturer of industrial, high performance digital printing machines for carpet and textile market is presenting the COLARIS at the International Textile Machinery Exhibition ITMA (22th through 29th September 2011). Zimmer’s COLARIS is about to conquer the world market after a successful launch at the FESPA in Munich 2010 and introduction to the Asian market in June 2011 at the ShanghaiTex exhibition.

Zimmer Austria will present at the ITMA fair, at their booth H7 B113 the latest COLARIS in live operation. With a print speed of more than 700 sqm/h (400 linear meters at 1800 working width), at high quality print mode, this will be the fastest machine in the market till date.

With our COLARIS we have introduced the fastest Digital Printer for textile applications in 2010 and we are still in the leading position. In combination with economically priced inks COLARIS has become a real alternative to conventional printing systems, says Anton Naschberger (CEO ZIMMER AUSTRIA Kufstein | Digital Printing Systems).

The printer covers the widest range of substrates. From fashion fabrics to decorative printing, from home textile to terry towels, or automotive fabrics through PES or PA flock fabrics as well as flags and banners almost any fabric can be printed in high quality at the penetration and application amount required. Brilliant prints on any fabric and nearly unlimited designs can be realized with an industrial inkjet printer in shortest time at unsurpassed printing speed.

Digital inks for EUR 34,-
Reactive and acid inks will be sold at EUR 34,- and disperse inks at less than EUR 40,- per Kilogram”, so Mr. Josef Osl (Sales Manager, Colaris). “With this announcement, Zimmer together with their ink partner DyStar, will continue to set further milestones for the digital textile printing industry.”

The latest innovation is an inline pre-treatment facility through a Magnoroll applicator (patent pending). This combination can work as a substitute to offline pre-treatment for most qualities of fabrics. Additionally it can act as a penetration enhancer to allow COLARIS to print even onto heavy substrates like decorative fabrics, velour, terry towels, flock fabrics, and even onto many types of floor covering substrates, achieving maximum penetration at an unsurpassed quality.

"First in Quality" and "First in Service" - Zimmer Austria feels committed to this motto not only today but for more than 135 years since the company has been founded. Many innovations and pioneering developments for the textile printing industry have come from Zimmer Austria over all those years.
