Chinese cotton import volume reached 207,000 tons in August, showing an increase of 32 percent from the previous month.
This is an increase of 50,000 tons compared with July, representing an increase of 32 percent; the average import price was US $ 3,025 / ton, down 85 cents or 2.7 percent compared with July, according to customs statistics.
In the first eight months of 2011, China imported 1.69 million tons of cotton.
