Prosino, the world leader in producing spinning and twisting rings, presents Steelhawk, the revolutionary spinning ring. The occasion for this important product launch is the opening of ITMA 2011, in Barcelona.
Excellent Payback Steelhawk is born of Prosino's long experience, developed in the last 65 years in the field of spinning ring manufacturing. As the result of an accurate survey of the customers needs and problems, Steelhawk rings will help saving time in the spinning process - with consequent money savings – thanks to a mix of distinctive factors.
Special composition and no need of break-in procedure Steelhawk meets the customers needs in terms of speed and reliability of the spinning process: it doesn't need the so called “break-in” procedure as traditional spinning rings do: Steelhawk is provided with a special nonmetallic dry lubrication coating that allows you to start the new ring at full speed without any long and un-productive running in schedule.
Prosino puts the maximum care also on the core structure of the ring, which is the basement of the product. Made in high carbon, high chrome core hardened 100Cr6 ball bearing steel, Steelhawk raw material – outstanding low sulphur, high purity steel - is object of specific heat treatment, thanks to subfreezing step allowing the perfect over time dimensional stability.
No need of special travellers and plasma-like coating Steelhawk does not require special travellers and superior performance is achieved using international travellers manufacturing brands. Customised flange profile can be supplied upon request.
Moreover, it guarantees the no deterioration of ring surface thanks to its special plasma-like coating, developed with the Prosino's long experience in the field, that doesn't allow micro-welding between ring and traveller even in the most harsh working environment (compact cotton spinning, dyed synthetics, 100% rayon).
Superior speed and outstanding yarn quality High working speed can be reached by Steelhawk spinning ring thanks to the low roughness, the ultra precise flange profile guaranteed by the unique Prosino form tuning technology, the dry lubrication and the very high consistency of all mechanical parameters (out-of-roundness, hardness, roughness).
The amounts of yarn breaks are controlled in a better way thanks to the more stable yarn tension, with a consequent better frame productivity. Also, in terms of yarn quality, Steelhawk helps the reduction of hairiness providing a smooth surface for a long period of time on all spindle positions.
Hairiness has its root cause on the dimension of the spinning triangle: the area of the spinning triangle changes overtime due to the change in yarn tension, which is strongly influenced by the coefficient of friction between ring and traveller. Steelhawk, thanks to the non metallic plasma-like coating, maintains its smoothness over the years, giving a significant contribution to the control of yarn tension, spinning triangle and ultimate yarn hairiness.
