Textile and apparel exports from Japan with a year-on-year rise of 11 percent grew to US$ 883.7 million during July 2011, Japan Textiles Exporters Association has reported, based on the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) trade statistics.
Japan's textile and apparel exports have risen continuously for six months in a row since February 2011.
Category-wise, apparel exports increased by 11 percent to US$ 45.45 million during the month of July, textile fibres by 12 percent to US$ 124.94 million, woven fabrics by 12 percent to US$ 75.02 million and yarn by 9 percent to US$ 101.18 million.
Japan's textile and apparel exports during the first seven months of the current year jumped to US$ 5,514.3 million with a year-on-year rise of 16 percent.
