Spot market of PTA imports remained light on Monday. While offers for Taiwan's stock were around US$ 1250/ton, downstream buyers inquired for around US$ 1230/ton, and actual negotiations took place around US$ 1245/ton.
For South Korea's stock, while the offer price was around US$ 1230-1235/ton, the downstream bids were around US$ 1220/ton, and actually negotiated price was around US$ 1230/ton.
In North China too, PTA market conditions were light on September 26. Cargo holders quoted offer price around 9850 Yuan/ton, downstream buyers inquired for around 9600 Yuan/ton. A limited number of actual negotiations took place around 9700-9750 Yuan/ton. But, overall, the transaction atmosphere was light in the market.
In East China, the PTA market conditions weakened, with cargo holders making offers around 9800 Yuan/ton. Downstream buyers adopted a 'wait and watch' policy and made isolated bids around 9500 Yuan/ton. Actual negotiations focused on 9600-9700 Yuan/ton.
