Fibre2fashion the global textile, apparel and fashion B2B portal announces the hosting of the “International Conference on Man-Made Fibre Textiles” on November 18-19, 2011 at IIM - Ahmedabad.
The International Conference will be hosted by Fibre2fashion in association with the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) & Surat Art Silk Cloth Manufacturers Association (SASCMA). Reliance Industries Ltd is the principal sponsor of the conference.
Manmade fibres are expected to play a more meaningful role in various segments like garments, home textiles and particularly technical textiles. Inspite of this huge potential, there has not been major concerted efforts to discuss, deliberate and promote this sector on national and international platforms.
This conference will primarily address the immediate needs to examine the current strength and explore the growth potential of man made fibre textiles sector in India. Global and Indian experts will deliberate the developments product innovations, sustainability, strategic management, technical textiles and other key issues.
The inaugural address will be given by Mr Maheswar Sahu, Principal Secretary (Industries & Mines) – Govt of Gujarat. The keynote address will be delivered by Mr Robin Anson, MD - Textiles Intelligence, UK.
This will be followed by a special address by guests of honour - Mr OP Lohia from Indorama Corporation, Mr RD Udeshi from Reliance Industries and Mr KK Maheshwari from Grasim Industries.
The international conference is aimed at leading entrepreneurs, top executives, policy makers and others associated with business and trade and will help them enrich their vision to plan well-thought out strategies for the future.
