He notes that during the U.S. textile industry's 10-year decline a number of cheap, foreign tenter components were tried and just did not hold up to the demands of the American textile industry. ”Companies were buying lesser cost/quality, imported tenter products, from countries such as China, which actually caused higher overall costs in the long run. Lesser quality tenter products, resulted in poor performance, poor production efficiency, poor quality, and ultimately poor profitability.
