China's August PTA imports under tariff code 29,173,611 have increased by 27,500 tons compared with its imports in July, according to Customs statistics. However, the August imports of 463,400 tons were lower by 5,900 tons compared to August 2010.
In August 2011, the average import price of PTA was US$ 1,198/ton, which was 2.62 percent more than the average price in July, and 42.3 percent more than the average price in August last year.
