Khadi special rebate sales in TN till Oct. 25

The Gandhi Jayanti and Deepavali special rebate sales on Khadi products will continue till October 25 in Tamil Nadu.
A special discount of 30 percent would be given on Khadi items made in Tamil Nadu, while retail customers would be able to avail a discount of 15 percent on Khadi products from other States.
The rebate would be available at all the stores run by Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan and Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) across the State. In addition, a special sale is also being held at the outlet of the Khadi and Village Industries Board at Kuralagam.
The Khadi rebate sales were inaugurated by Governor K. Rosaiah on the occasion of the 143rd Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
The Governor said that Khadi is a symbol of self-respect and self-reliance and should form a part of every household. He urged the KVIC and the Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan to provide a rebate throughout the year so as to benefit the common man.
KVIC State director R. Prabhakar Rao stated that the introduction of solar spinning wheels will improve infrastructure and boost productivity.
