Japan based Dia-Nitrix, a major producer of acrylonitrile (ACN) is planning to undertake maintenance turnaround of its two ACN plants in 2012.
The maintenance turnaround of its Mizushima plant is scheduled in end-February 2012, while that of the Otake plant is in September 2012, a company official told fibre2fashion.
He further added that the two plants are currently operating at 85 percent capacity rates due to weak markets and a strong Japanese yen.
The Mizushima plant has a capacity of 115,000 tons/year and the Otake plant is of 90,000 tons/annum capacity.
