Textiles & handicrafts expo 'Hindtex-2011' from Oct. 13

With an aim to boost exports and to increase foreign exchange earnings, the Eastern UP Exporters Association (EUPEA) is organizing a three-day textiles and handicrafts buyers-sellers meet 'Hindtex-2011' at Varanasi, beginning October 13.
Products of around 36 participants will be displayed at the event, EUPEA President Naveen Kapoor revealed.
A whole range of textiles and handicraft artworks like curtains, silk, saris, home furnishing items, brocade, fabrics, hand-embroidered zardozi, tussar silk, tissue fabrics and jamdani would be showcased at the event.
Alongside the buyer-seller meet, IIFT Associate Professor Pinaki Das Gupta will be conducting a seminar on "handicraft and home textiles in eastern UP" on October 14, Mr. Kapoor said.
The EUPEA President revealed that the association focuses on employment generation through promotion of textiles, handicrafts and handmade carpets at international level, by raising their popularity amongst buyers in countries like Japan, Austria, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Canada, United States and Greece.
