Pure benzene market went up in Chinese markets on October 12. Cargo holders were reluctant to sell at lower prices owing to limited market supply.
In North China market, the transactions for pure benzene were in the price range of 7800-7900 Yuan/ton, while in East China market, the price range was 7850-7950 Yuan/ton and in South China market, the price range was 7900-8000 Yuan/ton.
The ex-factory price of benzene for Northwest Brand of China National Petroleum was 7150-7250 Yuan/ton at Lanzhou Petrochemical, and 6800-6850 Yuan/ton at Urumqi Petrochemical.
Although production and marketing activities are normal, the benzene market is likely to rise slightly in near future.
