China's cotton imports in September grew 26 percent over the same period of the previous year, says a data released by the China National Cotton Reserves Corporation.
In September 2011, Chinese cotton imports reached 252,700 tons, against 200,700 tons recorded in September last year. It is also up 22.07 percent from its previous month.
In the first nine months of 2011, cotton imports touched 1.942 million tons.
In the month of August too, cotton import volume reached 207,000 tons in August, showing an increase of 32 percent from the previous month.
