Korean firm begins work on textile plant in Vietnam

A Korean company has begun construction work for setting up a textile plant in Vietnam's Bau Bang Industrial Park located in Binh Duong Province.
The textile plant is being set up by South Korea's Kyungbang Corporation with an investment of US$ 160 million.
The 16-hectare plant for manufacturing of thread and other textile materials is expected to become operational by 2013.
The first phase of construction involving an investment of US$ 40 million is likely to be completed by late 2012. At the end of the first phase, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 6,000 tons of fibre and textile materials.
