Double digit rise in cotton arrivals at Pakistan ginneries

There has been double digit year-on-year growth in the volume of seed cotton that has reached ginners in Pakistan till November 1, 2011.
The fortnightly report released by the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) reveals that ginners received 6.703 tons of cotton seed, up 10.41 percent from a year ago till November 1.
Till the same date, 4.71 million cotton bales were sold to the textile units, while exporters bought around 188,457 bales.
Till date state-owned body - Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), still has not begun cotton purchasing activities.
