A national level handicraft exhibition would he held in Cuttack city in the east Indian State of Orissa from November 10.
The fair is being organized by Utkalika, the Orissa State Co-operative Handicraft Corporation Ltd with sponsorship from Development Commissioner (Handicraft), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Over 150 handicraft artisans from across the country would showcase their unique products at the fair and it would offer a great opportunity for the buyers and sellers to get in direct touch with each other.
A whole range of uniquely renowned craft items from all corners of the country like chikan embroidery, carpet and punjadurry from UP's Saharanpur; phulkary dress of Punjab; Gujarat's wall hangings and traditional toys; shawls from Jammu & Kashmir; jute crafts of West Bengal, Kantha embroidery; and Chanderi Saris of Madhya Pradesh would all be showcased at the expo.
Moreover, all major handicraft products of Orissa including art textiles would also be displayed at the expo.
Thus, the handicraft fair will offer a great opportunity for all the home makers and art lovers to explore and choose from a wide range of items.
