Tablevogue lands Collegiate Licensing Company

TEAM Tablevogue, a division of Tablevogue LLC, announced it has completed its initial licensure with The Collegiate Licensing Company, a division of IMG Worldwide, and the nation's leading collegiate trademark licensing and marketing company.

This confirms that TEAM Tablevogue is now licensed to produce and market the brand's ingenious slipcover with a screen printed collegiate logo for the functional folding tables that can be found at tailgates on college campuses and game-day celebrations at home nationwide every Saturday -- and, until now, have proved impossible to sufficiently, stylishly cover.

Tablevogue's corner seaming design, detailed pleat stitching, and to-the-floor length is unrivaled in the table linen industry. Constructed with 100% heavy-gauge polyester, Tablevogue won't fade or shrink after laundering and the patented soil-release feature provides a worry-free, year-round entertaining solution.

When Jane Birdwell, Tablevogue's Creator and President of Operations, made the decision to expand Tablevogue's brand presence by entering the sports merchandise marketplace through obtaining a license to screen print Tablevogue's covers with trademark collegiate logos, Collegiate Licensing Company was the obvious choice.

CLC is the oldest and largest collegiate trademark licensing agency in the U.S. and represents nearly 200 colleges, universities, bowl games, athletic conferences, the Heisman Trophy and the NCAA. College sports consumer fan base is the largest of all sports, with 173 million fans. The retail marketplace for collegiate licensed merchandise in 2010 was estimated at $4.3 billion.

"Market research indicated that this problem-solver would transition nicely into a college game-day solution, and we firmly believe our strong sales and distribution capabilities will create incremental royalties from sales for all of the institutions for which we have secured and are seeking licensure."

CLC's selection and approval criteria has been an intense, highly competitive process that required Tablevogue to establish a commitment to the collegiate market, production and distribution capabilities, and the ability to provide incremental royalties through sales.

Tailgate and team enthusiasts (numbering in the hundreds of millions in the collegiate market alone) already using tents, chairs, and folding tables for events at the stadium or for entertaining at home find that Tablevogue branded with their team logo is a "must have" team essential. In the sometimes crowded and windy parking lot environments, the full length, secure, tailored fit is the ultimate show of team spirit, eliminating the need for disposable table cloths that come up short, leaving table legs exposed.
