Aquafil produces nylon-6 from recycled raw materials

Founded in 1969 in Arco (Trento), Aquafil Group produces the synthetic fibre nylon 6, specifically focusing on the production of carpet fibres, a segment in which the Group leads the field in Europe, with a market share of 40%, and is second in the international rankings. The company has also gained significant experience in the engineering plastics and special textile fabrics segment.
In 2010 the Group, controlled by the Bonazzi family and with an equity investment held by the Hutton Collins fund, achieved a turnover of € 430.6 million. It employs over 2000 people in 3 continents, in 13 facilities in Europe (five in Italy, four in Slovenia and one in Croatia), the USA (Georgia) and Asia (China and Thailand).
