KARL MAYER participated successfully in Techtextil India
Dec '11
KARL MAYER was exhibiting at this year's Techtextil India in the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai on a joint stand under the auspices of the Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, VDMA (German Engineering Federation).

This experienced textile machine manufacturer was handing out samples, brochures and information on the machines produced by its subsidiary, KARL MAYER Malimo - bi- and multiaxial machines and warp knitting machines with weft insertion - its warp knitting machines for technical and semi-technical applications, and its warp preparation machines for processing technical yarns.

The visitors flocked to see what was on offer. “A lot of people came to see us on all three days. Many of our existing customers came from all over India to visit our stand, but new customers were also interested in our products,” said Bastian Fritsch, KARL MAYER's sales manager for India. Many of the conversations focused on shade/screening nets and the textiles produced on high-speed, three-bar tricot machines, which are used as embroidery grounds and as backings in the production of artificial leather in particular.

The subjects of warp-knitted spacer textiles and mosquito nets were also a hot topic for discussion. There were also many questions on warp knitting machines for the production of warp-knitted textiles with weft insertion and multiaxial textiles for use as advertising substrates, geogrids, interlinings and cleaning textiles.

Representatives from KARL MAYER's “Warp Preparation” business unit also had many conversations with the visitors. It was particularly noticeable from talking to the manufacturers, most of whom were involved with the clothing sector, that there is a high demand for the extensive knowledge and expertise of KARL MAYER's specialists in producing warps from functional, technical yarns.

On the whole, all the representatives of the KARL MAYER Group were delighted with their participation in Techtextil India.
