Chinese cotton imports skyrocket in Dec

Chinese cotton imports recorded 790,400 tons in December 2011, up 412,300 tons or 109.02 percent from the previous month.
Cotton imports also rose 328,700 tons or 71.2 percent compared with the same time last year, according to Chinese customs statistics.
China's total cotton imports reached 3.3638 million tons from January to December 2011, an increase of 527,500 tons or 18.6 percent year on year.
