PX, PTA & ethylene prices jump, PSF stable

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PX prices were at US$ 1595/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices were in between US$ 1580/ton to US$ 1585/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1585/ton. In European market PX price was around US$ 1440/ton.

In Asian markets, PTA price jumped up. In F E Asian and S E Asian region, PTA prices were in between US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1155/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1150/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA price was around RMB 8800/ton to RMB 8950/ton.

In S E Asian market, Ethylene price increased in the range of around US$ 1105/ton to US$ 1110/ton. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1105/ton to US$ 1115/ton. In N W European market, ethylene price was at US$ 1275/ton (on CIF base). In U.S.A market, ethylene price was in the range of 60.05 cents/pound to 61.05 cents/pound.

MEG prices were stable in S E Asian markets and offered in the range of US$ 1097/ton to US$ 1105/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8600/ton. In European market, selling offers were in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips price remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1575/ton to US$ 1585/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1580/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip was offered at RMB 11500/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips price was in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1450/ton and in Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1455/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip hovered at RMB 10850/ton to RMB 10950/ton.

PSF price was stable in North Asian market and hovered in the range of US$ 1725/ton to US$ 1735/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1690/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers increased in the range of RMB 12000/ton to RMB 12100/ton.

Polyester POY prices in Chinese domestic market did not change. POY price was around RMB 12050/ton. FDY and DTY selling offers were at RMB 12800/ton to RMB 13400/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1640/ton, US$ 1735/ton and US$ 1815/ton, respectively.
