Japan-based Mitsui Chemicals which operates two production lines of benzene plans to undertake maintenance of both the lines in two different months.
According to an official of Mitsui, line number - 2 which has a production capacity of 100,000 tons per annum will be taken off-stream in March 2012.
The maintenance turnaround of line number – 1 which has a capacity of 135,000 tons per year will take place in June 2012, the official informed fibre2fashion.
Both the plants, located in Osaka – Japan, will remain shutdown for a period of one month during the turnaround.
