Dia-Nitrix based in Japan and a producer of Acrylonitrile (ACN) will undertake a maintenance shutdown of its plant in Mizushima and will stay off-stream for a period of 40 days.
An official of Dia-Nitrix who spoke to fibre2fashion said, “The ACN plant in Mizushima will undergo a planned maintenance shutdown in February and will restart in early April”.
He further informed, “The other ACN plant located at Otake will also remain shut for a planned turnaround in October 2012.”
The Mizushima ACN plant has a capacity of 115,000 tons per annum, while the Otake plant has a capacity of 90,000 tons per annum.
