The Indonesian textile sector is gung-ho over the positive impact and outcome of the Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJ-EPA) signed way back in July 2008.
According to experts from the industry, Japan has now become Indonesia's top textile export market, as textile exports climbed significantly to Japan after the deal was signed.
The Japanese side is facilitating meetings between Indonesian stake holders and top Japanese textiles and apparel buyers, they said.
Japan is also organising a three-month training program each year since 2009, in which Indonesian textile entrepreneurs are given training in latest dyeing technologies.
