VICUNHA achieves huge success in Europe in 2011

Vicunha is one of the largest textile manufacturers in the world and a leader in various segments.

The end season statement for 2011 by Thomas Dislich, managing director VICUNHA Europe:

"We are very pleased that we could achieve such huge commercial success in 2011, despite the 'crisis.' For us, 'crisis' is merely a concept on European television, because the Brazilian group once again brought in record profits. In the last 12 months, the European sales team was recreated from scratch," Thomas Dislich summarized.

Thomas Dislich is now devoted exclusively to sales, because the Brazilian parent company has taken over responsibility for all VICUNHA EUROPE's administrative and organizational departments.

In the course of globalization, sales and marketing are the first priority in Europe. Dislich works closely with Julien Eickelmann (27), manager for European brands, and Abdel Amouche (29), sales manager, who has been on the VICUNHA sales team for five years. Julien Eickelmann supports major northern European clients – vertical and brand – on a global basis. Account managers directly and integrally service customers such as H&M, either at the parent company, in one of the global branch offices, or at the production location itself. Abdel Amouche covers North Africa and the French market with three agents.

There is a sales manager active on the Indian subcontinent, one of the fastest growing regions, and one in Shanghai. A manager is being sought for Hong Kong. It's globalization across the board! The product side is also going full steam ahead. Under Stefano Pozzobon, head of product development for Vicunha Têxtil EUROPE, the product lines in Pakistan and Turkey will continue to be significantly expanded.

Denim Première Vision remains the most important European trade fair for VICUNHA EUROPE: "At the last Denim Première Vision in December 2011 (Spring/Summer 2013 collection), VICUNHA offered beautiful products to go under the Christmas tree. There are many more new products on the way for the next fair in May 2012," concluded Thomas Dislich.
