PSF & polyester POY prices fall, MEG stable

Paraxylene (PX) price continued to decline in Asian market. In S E Asian market, PX prices were in the range of US$ 1605/ton to US$ 1615/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices were in between US$ 1610/ton to US$ 1620/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market was quoted at $ 1610/ton.
In Asian markets, PTA price declined in line with upstream. In F E Asian and S E Asian region, PTA prices were in between US$ 1185/ton to US$ 1190/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1190/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA price fell to around RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8775/ton.
In S E Asian market, Ethylene price was range bound at US$ 1380/ton. In F E Asian market, ethylene price was around US$ 1340/ton. In U.S.A market, Ethylene was in the range of 62.75 cents/pound to 63.25 cents/pound. In European domestic market, price range was € 1330/ton to € 1340/ton. In European market, price was around US$ 1710/ton.
MEG price was stable in S E Asian markets and was offered in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG price was in the range of US$ 1017/ton to US$ 1022/ton. In Chinese domestic market, selling offers were around RMB 7350/ton. MEG price is expected to go below US$ 1000/ton benchmark price.
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips price was stable in the range of US$ 1675/ton to US$ 1685/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1675/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip was offered at RMB 11700/ton.
In Korean markets, FG PET Chips price was stable in the range of US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1580/ton and in Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1575/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip hovered at RMB 11500/ton to RMB 11600/ton.
In N Asian PSF market price went down further in the range of US$ 1625/ton to US$ 1635/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were in the range of US$ 1530/ton to US$ 1540/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers stayed unchanged in the range of RMB 11350/ton to RMB 11450/ton.
Price of Polyester POY declined in Chinese domestic market. POY price was around RMB 11500/ton. FDY and DTY selling offers were at RMB 12000/ton to RMB 13100/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1560/ton, US$ 1620/ton and US$ 1775/ton, respectively.
