The manufacturers of Partially-Oriented Yarn (POY) in China have increased prices of POY by 100-200 Yuan/ton, while the price of Fully-Drawn Yarn (FDY) has been hiked by 50 Yuan/ton.

Among conventional products, the sales of FDY 68D/24F and 75D/36F are weak, but there is good demand for 68D/48F, 75D/72F and 144F.

In Shengze market, the demand is much higher for FDY 75D/144F, which is currently being traded at around 13,000 Yuan/ton. The FDY gary silk market is also strong.

There is some demand for DTY 75D/144F and 150D/144F items. The market price of DTY 75D/36F is also on rise.

The downstream demand for POY products is unsteady. However, the sales of 50D are comparatively good.

The sales of polyester filament have grown, but spinning units still face high stock pressure.

Chinese polyester filament market is likely to remain in a narrow range and is not optimistic in the medium and long terms.
