Moorbrook Textiles Ltd., a Scotland based textile producing firm has inked a £600k deal with UK's iconic fashion label Daks to supply custom-made scarves under Daks label for next three years.

The Scottish firm, comprising Alex Begg & Company, Robert Noble and Replin Fabrics, produces woven textile products at its manufacturing plants in Ayr and Peebles.

The new deal is attributable to the significant 21 percent growth achieved by the firm over the past one year, Moorbrook Textiles said.

The company is now looking forward to employ six new full-time employees at its Peebles plant within the next six months, and it also proposes to launch an apprentice employment programme under which it would employ four apprentices at each of its Peebles and Ayr production sites.

Expressing his delight over associating with one of the UK's leading fashion brands like Daks, Moorbrook Textiles Ltd. Managing Director, Ian Laird, said as a brand, Daks encompasses values like innovation, reliability and quality. It is a matter of pride for them to work with Daks, he added.

Further, Mr. Laird also voiced his excitement over the firm's capacity of nurturing the abilities of Scottish youth, who are willing to pursue a career in textile manufacturing industry.

Cathy Black, Head of Textiles, Moorbrook Textiles Ltd said the continued growth and inking of the deal clearly points towards good quality of the goods being produced by the firm.
