PTA & MEG prices rise; PSF declines

Paraxylene (PX) prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices stayed stable and were quoted at US$ 1440/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market went down and was in the range US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton.

PTA prices rose in the Asian countries. In S E Asian market, PTA prices went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1100 to US$ 1105/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1100/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the price range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1095/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices gapped up and were offered in the range RMB 8450/ton to RMB 8500/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mix reaction in the Asian market. In S E Asian countries, Ethylene prices went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1135/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene price remained unchanged at US$ 1230/ton.

In the US market, Ethylene prices went up and were quoted at 53.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in European international and domestic markets, and were assessed at US$ 1345/ton and € 1050/ton, respectively.

MEG prices jumped up in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices went up and were assessed in between US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In China market, MEG prices dipped and were in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted in the range RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.

In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1450/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices remained steady and were offered at RMB 10650/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1345/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices went down and hovered in the range of RMB 10250/ton to RMB 10300/ton.

PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1570/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were marked at US$ 1470/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged down and were assessed in the range of RMB 10975/ton to RMB 11025/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and FDY prices remained steady and were marked at RMB 11150/ton and RMB 11200/ton, respectively while DTY prices dropped down to RMB 12400/ton. In export market, offers for POY and FDY stayed stable and were quoted at US$ 1505/ton and US$ 1500/ton, respectively, whilst DTY prices fell to US$ 1670/ton.
