PX prices fall; MEG shows mixed trend

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in Asia. In S E Asian market, PX prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices fell and were assessed at US$ 1430/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market remained stable in the range US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton.

PTA prices were stable in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices stayed unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1095 to US$ 1100/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1095/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1095/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 8475/ton to RMB 8525/ton.

Ethylene prices followed the stable trend in the Asian countries. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1120/ton to US$ 1125/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed inert and were assessed at US$ 1140/ton.

In the US market, Ethylene prices declined slightly and were quoted in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international and domestic markets, and were assessed at US$ 1300/ton and € 1040/ton, respectively.

MEG prices showed mix trend in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, MEG prices surged up and were assessed at US$ 990/ton. In China market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7425/ton to RMB 7475/ton.

In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1450/ton for export goods. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered at RMB 10600/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices were stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1345/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were inert and they hovered in the range of RMB 10200/ton to RMB 10250/ton.

PSF prices were stable in the Asian countries. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1575/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were marked at US$ 1475/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 10975/ton to RMB 11025/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, FDY and DTY prices stayed unchanged and were marked at RMB 11100/ton, RMB 11100/ton, and RMB 12400/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY and DTY surged up and were quoted at US$ 1505/ton and US$ 1675/ton, respectively, while FDY price stayed stable at US$ 1490/ton.
