Spanish textile and apparel exports have registered a growth in the first quarter of 2012, vis-à-vis the corresponding quarter of 2011.
In the same period, imports of textiles and clothing recorded a fall, said a report of CityC.
Textile exports touched €2.641 billion between January and March, up 8.9 percent from a year earlier. Garment and knitwear shipments too rose 12 percent to reach €1.805 billion.
Imports, however, have gone downhill in the first quarter of 2012.
Imports of fibres, yarns and fabrics touched €795 million, down 9 percent and that of knitwear and clothing were €2.528 billion, also down 9 percent.
