PX & PSF prices fall, MEG trends up

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PX prices plunged down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices dropped down and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market stayed steady and were offered in the range US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton.

PTA prices stayed stable in Asia. In S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1055 to US$ 1060/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1055/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market dropped down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range RMB 8175/ton to RMB 8225/ton.

Ethylene prices stayed steady in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were offered at US$ 1030/ton.

In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of 52.50 cents/pound to 53.00 cents/pound. In European international market, Ethylene prices were steady and quoted at US$ 1125/ton and in European domestic market; ethylene price went down and was quoted at € 880/ton, respectively.

MEG prices went up in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices surged up and were offered at US$ 975/ton. In China market, MEG prices were steady in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went up and were offered in the range RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.

In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips prices plunged down in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1390/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices declined marginally and were quoted at RMB 10400/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price were assessed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices dropped down and hovered in the range of RMB 10075/ton to RMB 10125/ton.

PSF prices declined in Asia. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1535/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were assessed at US$ 1435/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 10750/ton to RMB 10800/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices stayed stable and were marked at RMB 10800/ton, RMB 12100/ton and RMB 10800/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 1455/ton, US$ 1625/ton and US$ 1440/ton, respectively.
