Bremen CIF Index reports that despite noteworthy deviations during the reported week, on the average the quotations have hardly changed after the significant revision of the CIF Bremen Index last Wednesday.
The local market was furthermore formed by price-conscious demand for well-known varieties, but also by enquiries to check on the price trends. Even though there was a holiday, the turnover developments of last week continued.
Purchases for near dates were on focus as well as covering a more or less immediate need.
In the Upland-range contracts were closed for cotton from West Africa, Greece and Spain for the 2nd and 3rd quarter 2012 as well as Central Asia for the 2nd quarter 2012.
The LS-/ELS-need for the 2nd quarter 2012 was satisfied by USA California Acala rgd, Giza 86, Giza 88, Israel Pima and Sudan Barakat. Sudan Barakat was also sold for the 3rd quarter 2012.
