Asian PX & PTA trends rebound, PSF continues decline

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PX price surged up and were quoted in the range of US$1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1205/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market dropped down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1255/ton.

PTA prices surged up in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, PTA prices went up were quoted in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In F E Asian region, PTA prices were offered at US$ 920/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped down and were assessed in the range RMB 7025/ton to RMB 7075/ton.

Ethylene prices followed the mix trend in Asia. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices plunged down and were offered in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 930/ton.

In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices surged up and were assessed in the range of 42.00 cents/pound to 42.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were unchanged in European international and domestic markets, and were offered at US$ 1105/ton and € 900/ton, respectively.

MEG prices went up in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 860/ton. In China market, MEG prices went down in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 855/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were assessed in the range of RMB 6425/ton to RMB 6475/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices declined in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1300/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices dropped down and were offered at RMB 9200/ton.

 In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices plunged down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price were offered in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 8875/ton to RMB 9925/ton.

PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In F E Asian market, PSF prices went down to US$ 1420/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were at US$ 1320/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down and were assessed in the range of RMB 9975/ton to RMB 10025/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and FDY prices went down and were marked at RMB 9800/ton and RMB 9500/ton, respectively while DTY prices stayed steady at RMB 11200/ton In export market, offers for POY and FDY dropped down and were quoted at US$ 1305/ton and US$ 1245/ton, respectively while DTY price stayed stable at US$ 1490/ton.
