Textang II, which has been in non-operating condition for over 20 years, is expected to enter the experimentation phase in January next year, upon conclusion of the revival phase that it is undergoing at present.

This was revealed by Minister of Industry, Geology and Mining, Joaquim David, during his official visit to Catumbela village in southern Benguela province of South Africa.

He said that revival of both the África Textil and Satec firms has just commenced and it is in preliminary stage.

Further, noting that the revival work of África Textil is going good, the Minister added that revival of the factories should not take more than a year and a half to two, and that the experimental phase at África Textil would probably commence in 2014.

África Textil is the largest textile fabrics factory of Benguela province, which has been paralyzed for decades.
