Asian PX prices up, PTA & PSF down

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, PX prices were offered in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices were offered at US$ 1230/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market inched up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton.

PTA prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices dropped down and were offered in the range of US$ 930/ton to US$ 935/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 925/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market surged up and were assessed in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered in the range RMB 7100/ton to RMB 7150/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 855/ton. In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices went down and were quoted in the range of 44.50 cents/pound to 45.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed stable in European international and domestic market, and were witnessed at US$ 1055/ton and € 835/ton, respectively.

MEG prices followed a mixed trend in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices went down and were assessed at US$ 835/ton. In China market, MEG prices went up in the range of US$ 835/ton to US$ 840/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 6325/ton to RMB 6375/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1300/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices went down and were offered at RMB 9000/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price was quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.

PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In F E Asian market, PSF prices went down to US$ 1355/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were at US$ 1255/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged down and were quoted in the range of RMB 9525ton to RMB 9575/ton.

Prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained steady in Chinese domestic market and were offered at RMB 9650/ton and RMB 11100/ton respectively, while prices of FYD declined and were witnessed at RMB 9400/ton. In export market, offers for POY stayed stable and were offered at US$ 1285/ton, while offers for DTY and FDY went down and were witnessed at US$ 1460/ton, and US$ 1235/ton respectively.
