Texprint’s chairman Barbara Kennington says: “It is so uplifting to see designers who have been ‘trained in Britain’ recognised internationally as among the best and most innovative; their work providing the creative foundation for many of the world’s fashion, interior and product designers. And in this tough economic climate it becomes even more essential for industry to encourage and support excellence in design. Texprint is the link – we introduce the best British-trained designers to industry, building their confidence and commercial skills and helping fast track them into valuable and worthwhile roles.”
Following the events in London, the 24 designers will show in Paris at Indigo, part of Première Vision Pluriel, September 19-21, 2012, where the Woolmark Texprint Award in support of Campaign for Wool will be judged and the four special prizes will presented on Thursday 20 September, 2012, at 3.30pm.
