PTA spot market in East China subdued on July 17

In East China, market offers of PTA spot were in the range of 7750-7800 Yuan/ton on July 17. Counter offers from downstream buyers were in the range of 7650-7700 Yuan/ton, and negotiations were expected at prices around 7700 Yuan/ton. However, actual market turnover appeared light.
For Taiwan goods, offers were in the range of US$ 1025-1030/ton, buyers bid for around US$ 1,010/ton, and negotiated price was expected to be around US$ 1020/ton.
For Korean cargo, market offers were in the range of US$ 1015-1020/ton, while downstream bids were around US$ 1,000/ton, and negotiated price hovered at US$ 1010/ton.
However, no deal was finalized for both Taiwanese and Korean goods.
