Designer Sophie Conran designs for Axminster Carpets

Born out of a desire to create carpets that are comfortable and have personality, Sophie describes the 'Feels Like Home' range for Axminster Carpets as 'a collection of good times and happy memories.'

Quiet Time

This delicate pattern is a modern take on a traditional 17th century British trailing flower. With a soft background and burst of colour, this 2-ply woven 100 per cent wool carpet is available in three colourways: 'Secret Garden', 'Bedtime Story' and 'Wild Walks.'

Helping Hands

This pretty design is a fresh take on the floral. Two colourways 'Strawberry Picking' and 'Baking Cakes' reflect the love that Sophie has for sweet and pretty designs in the home. They are made from 2-ply woven 100 per cent wool.

Favourite Places

Sophie was keen to create a carpet that would enhance the character and beauty of old buildings and is particularly keen on the warm 'By the Fire' colourway. Also available in a blue 'Sunny Window', the carpets are woven from 2-ply 100 per cent wool.

Day At The Beach

The Day at the Beach Stripe takes its inspiration from Sophie's joyful memories of beach huts and sand castles. Woven from 2-ply 100 per cent wool and available in two colourways, 'Knickerbocker Glory' and 'Rock Pools', the Day at the Beach range is available in both a broad and narrow stripe.

Sunday Afternoons

All of Sophie's favourite things about Sundays!  'Picnic Blanket', 'Herb Garden', 'Tree House' and 'Favourite Wellies' are designs that offer a depth of texture and colour not seen from other carpet manufacturers.  Sunday Afternoons is constructed using loop pile technology made in 100 per cent 3ply British.

Tea Time Treats

The tactile plains are named after the cosy feelings of a teatime gathering, warm crumpets and scented tea. The cut pile surface is soft under foot. It is tufted in an 80 per cent wool and 20 per cent nylon mix; perfect for everyday wear and tear. It comes in a variety of delicious colourways.
