Olympic volleyball team uniforms made using ResistexCarbon

Thanks to its technical features, the yarn ResistexCarbon has been used to make the Olympic uniform of the national volleyball teams designed by ASICS.

The Italian women’s and men’s national volleyball teams will participate to the Olympic Games in London with a further ally: the yarn ResistexCarbon by Tecnofilati a company of the Abati Textile Group specialized in the production of technical yarns. In fact the innovative yarn has been used to make the Olympic uniforms provided by the technical sponsor ASICS.

It has been used for years by athletes of all around the world and of all sports for its technical features and for the guarantee of high performance. ResistexCarbon is a technologically advanced yarn with screening properties in order to protect the body dissipating the static energy and with functions of thermo regulation and perspiration that accelerate the evaporation of sweat, reduce the moisture on the skin and maintain constant the body temperature. It is also antibacterial as it respects and protects the skin from bacteria and performing as it helps to reduce the concentration of lactic acid during exercise.

ResistexCarbon has been used for several years in the production of antistatic clothing according to the law en1149-1/2/3/5.

Antistatic – Dissipative: its special conductive fibres absorb and dissipate the electrical charges produced and accumulated from the environment or during physical exercise.

Perspiration and thermo regulation: it accelerates the process of evaporation of sweat, reduces the production of moisture on the skin and keeps constant the body temperature.

Screening: it protects the body from absorbing the static energy, from electro smog and from UV rays.

Antibacterial: it respects and protects the skin from bacteria and pollutant dusts eliminating the risk of irritating allergies.

Performing: during physical exercise it reduces the concentration of lactic acid, improving blood circulation and oxygenation of cells.
