Invista, a world leader in integrated fibers and polymers has collaborated with Attiva India, a lifestyle sportswear company to help them develop a new apparel range for emerging alternative sports with Lycra Sport fabric. Invista’s Lycra Sport fabric combines stretch fiber technology and meets demanding fabric performance requirements, designed specifically for sport and outdoor apparel.

Attiva India’s apparel range with Lycra Sport fabric includes sportswear, swimwear and cycling jerseys. The range is available through popular online shopping sites like Yebhi.com as well as multi-brand sport outlets such as Total Sports, Champion Sports and Diamond Sports across India.

The range carries the Lycra Sport fabric hand tag, an assurance of superior quality of the product. In internal as well as independent research studies, Lycra Sport fabrics were shown to perform better than those containing generic spandex on the key parameters of recovery power, shape retention and freedom of movement.

Avinash Chandra, Marketing Head, South Asia, Invista said, “There is increasing interest among Indian consumer towards swimming and cycling, and we are delighted to enable Attiva India to offer such products to them. Lycra Sport fabric is specifically designed to support active people and athletes to perform better in their sporting activities. It delivers stretch-ability and recovery power, designed to help consumers move and perform better, while providing comfort.”

Abhay Chhapia, Owner, Attiva India, said, “We are pleased to associate with a global company like INVISTA, who are known for their fibers and textile innovations. Consumers everywhere are constantly looking for better quality products and we are committed to offer them that. Invista’s Lycra Sport fabric provides freedom of movement, stretch, comfort and long-lasting fit - qualities that will definitely meet the growing demands of our consumers. The presence of the Lycra Sport fabric hand tag has been an added advantage as it is a very well made tool to communicate the benefits of the technology to the consumer. We are witnessing a good growth in demand of our garments as our customers are looking at real high performance products in activewear.
