A delegation of textile and fabric professionals from China is all set to embark on an educational tour to the well-acclaimed fashion hubs and institutions of the European continent from September 10, 2012.

The trip is being designed on the lines of the successful investigative visit made by the Chinese fabric designers in Europe in 2011.

The visit is being organized by China’s National Textile Product Development Centre.

The group of delegates who have been shortlisted to be a part of the coveted tour includes highly competent professionals from outstanding textile enterprises, textile and garment designers, professionally qualified textile fabric designers, people from specialized textile research institutions, staff of Tertiary institutions and other textile-related professionals.

The delegates will attend textile-based exhibitions, enterprises and educational institutions in the continent. The designers will also participate in several activities in which theory would be put into practice, which would be aimed at further strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Chinese textile fabric designers and the global textile industry.

The visiting schedule will additionally include, attending the Italian Textile Fair (Milano Unica) in Milan, Italy, Premiere Vision and Texworld in Paris, France, and some textile factories in Switzerland.

The Chinese textile industry believes that through the international exposure the delegates will have the opportunity to examine the functional approach of modern textile enterprises and professional textile organizations in Europe.

Moreover, the designers will be exposed to the European culture, textile development and the apparel markets. The industry is also expecting to get a better understanding of the current global fashion trends from the visit.
